Hi! I'm Mora, an adult green sea turtle encountered nesting on July 4, 2013 in Tortuguero, Costa Rica, the most important nesting site of the endangered green sea turtle in the Western Hemisphere. I measured 100.7 cm in straight carapace (shell) length.

A satellite transmitter was applied to my shell after I finished nesting. Check out my marathon migration map, where you can follow along as I swim.

I was named by my Sponsor, Sea Turtle Conservancy after Jairo Mora, a Costa Rican sea turtle volunteer who recently passed away. I'm swimming to raise awarness about the threat of Egg Harvest for Consumption to sea turtles. Please help me raise awareness about my cause by supporting me!
