I'm an adult female green sea turtle released with a satellite transmitter on June 22, 2012 from a beach north of Playa del Carmen in Mexico. I was named "Mayan" by my Sponsor, Vidanta Group. I was also given a traditional Mayan name, Muluc. Muluc (translated as "Moon") represents threats to life, such as the threats to the survival of green sea turtles. It is also considered the spark of the awakening of the conscience and knowledge of all beings and possibily an awakening of humanity's conscience for the care of our planet.

I measured 102 cm in curved carapace (shell) length and I laid 91 eggs. A satellite transmitter was applied to my shell after I finished nesting. Check out my marathon migration map, where you can follow along as I swim.

I'm swimming to raise awarness about the threat of Egg Harvest for Consumption to sea turtles. Please help me raise awareness about my cause by supporting me!
