I have returned to nest again. I'm an adult female loggerhead sea turtle encountered nesting on May 31, 2011, in the Archie Carr National Wildlife Refuge, Florida. I was first satellite tagged in 2009 and took part in the Tour de Turtles. I measure 107.5 cm in curved carapace (shell) length.
A satellite transmitter was applied to my shell after I finished nesting. You can view a slideshow of the attachment and release. Check out my marathon migration map, where you can follow along as I swim.
I'm being sponsored by the University of Central Florida. I'm swimming to raise awareness about the threat of Oil Spills to sea turtles. Please help me raise awareness about my cause by supporting me!
