Hey, just wanted to post a quick update. On the morning of July 31 STC & UCF researchers released two loggerhead sea turtles, named "Iridessa" and “Merryweather” from the Disney Vero Beach Resort at the southern end of the Archie Carr National Wildlife Refuge.

The last turtle from Florida, and the official start of the 2010 Tour de Turtles took place this morning (August 1) with the release of a loggerhead named “Hope” from in front of the Barrier Island Center, located within the Brevard County portion of the Archie Carr National Wildlife Refuge, Florida.

Make sure to start following along as the turtle begin their marathon migrations!
