My name is "Bimini." I'm an adult female leatherback sea turtle encountered nesting on June 12, 2010, on Luquillo-Fajardo Beach, Puerto Rico. I measured 166.6 cm in curved carapace (shell) length.

A satellite transmitter was applied to me after I finished nesting. You can view a slideshow of the attachment and release. Check out my marathon migration map where you can follow along as I swim.

I'm being sponsored by Atlantis, Paradise Island, Bahamas and I'm swimming to raise awarness about the threat of Plastic Debris Marine Pollution to sea turtles. Please help me raise awareness about my cause by supporting me!
