My name is "Patty." I'm an adult female loggerhead sea turtle encountered nesting on May 10, 2009, in the Archie Carr National Wildlife Refuge, Florida. I measure 105.1 cm in curved carapace (shell) length.
A satellite transmitter was applied to my shell after I finished nesting. Check out my marathon migration map, where you can follow along as I swim.
I'm being sponsored by University of Central Florida. I'm swimming to raise awarness about the threat of Marine Pollution - Oil Spills and Run-off to nesting females and especially to emerging hatchlings. Please help me raise awareness about my cause by supporting me!
