My name is "Bree Varda," but my friends call me Bree. I'm an adult female loggerhead sea turtle encountered nesting on July 30, 2009, in the Archie Carr National Wildlife Refuge, Florida. I measure 100.1 cm in curved carapace (shell) length.

A satellite transmitter was applied to my shell after I finished nesting. You can watch when I was released the next morning from the Barrier Island Environmental Ecosystem Center. Check out my marathon migration map, where you can follow along as I swim.

I'm being sponsored by MeGotta and I'm swimming to raise awarness about the threat of Coastal Development - Sea Walls to nesting females. Please help me raise awareness about my cause by supporting me!
